A number of universities have recently announced hires in newly created diversity officer positions. A common demand among minority student protests staged last year on college and university campuses was the creation of such positions at schools where they didn’t previously exist.
Pamela Nolan Young Pamela Nolan Young has been appointed to the newly created role of director for academic diversity and inclusion at the University of Notre Dame. Young, who received her juris doctor degree from the Notre Dame Law School, brings more than 25 years of experience to the University in the areas of diversity and inclusion, equal opportunity, education and law.
